These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of Chinese language courses, which may be delivered both online and in person. By using our site and purchasing courses, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1.1 Service Overview
Learn Chinese provides Chinese language courses to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced, including HSK preparation. Courses are delivered either in person at specified locations or online through our digital platforms. Learning materials may be provided in physical or digital formats, depending on the course structure.
1.2 Changes to Terms
Learn Chinese reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and by continuing to use the site, you accept the new terms.
2.1 To purchase courses from Learn Chinese, you must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2.2 You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the course registration process.
3.1 Course Fees
All course fees are listed on our website or communicated directly in case of in-person lessons. Fees must be paid in full before the course begins. We accept payments through major credit cards, bank transfers, or other agreed-upon methods.
3.2 Enrolment Confirmation
Enrolment in a course is confirmed once payment is processed, and you will receive an email or confirmation notice with the course schedule, location (for in-person lessons), and any materials provided.
3.3 Price Changes
Learn Chinese reserves the right to change course fees at any time. However, once you have enrolled in a course, the fee for that course will not change.
4.1 Cancellation by the Student
You may cancel your enrolment up to 7 days before the course start date for a full refund (subject to the deduction of any non-refundable payment-processing fees, as outlined in Clause 4.2). Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date may not be eligible for a refund, except in exceptional circumstances at Learn Chinese’s discretion.
4.2 Refunds
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation request and will be made to the original payment method.
For payments made via third-party online payment services or credit/debit-card gateways, a processing fee of approximately 3% of the transaction amount (plus any fixed per-transaction charge) may apply. This fee is deducted from the refundable amount to cover non-recoverable costs charged by the payment processor.
This deduction does not apply to payments made by cash or direct bank transfer.
4.3 Cancellation by Learn Chinese
Learn Chinese reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to unforeseen circumstances, insufficient enrolment, or instructor availability. If a course is cancelled by us, students will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another course.
4.4 Materials and Non-refundable Services
Once course materials, whether physical or digital, have been distributed, no refunds will be granted unless required under Australian Consumer Law. In case of service or material quality issues, you have the right to request assistance, and Learn Chinese will aim to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
4.5 Australian Consumer Law Compliance
Our refund policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if a course or service does not meet the required standard (e.g., if the service is not as described, or fails to be delivered within a reasonable timeframe). Refunds will not be issued for a change of mind.
5.1 In-Person and Online Access
For in-person courses, you are required to attend the classes at the specified location. For online courses, access will be granted to our digital learning platform, where course materials, schedules, and class links will be provided.
5.2 Course Materials
Learning materials may be distributed in both digital and physical formats. For digital materials, access will be provided through the online platform, while physical materials may be provided in class or shipped to the student’s provided address.
5.3 AI-Powered Learning System
Students will receive free access to our self-designed, AI-powered system to reinforce learning outcomes. This system is available 24/7 and is provided as an additional learning tool.
5.4 Technical and Physical Requirements
For online courses, students are responsible for ensuring they have adequate internet access and the necessary devices to participate in the courses. For in-person courses, students are expected to attend with any required materials and resources provided by Learn Chinese.
6.1 All content, including course materials, videos, text, and other learning resources provided by Learn Chinese, remain the intellectual property of the company. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce these materials without prior written consent.
6.2 Unauthorised use of any materials may result in termination of course access without a refund and potential legal action.
7.1 To the extent permitted by law, Learn Chinese shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use our services, whether in-person or online, including but not limited to loss of income or missed educational opportunities.
7.2 Physical Attendance: Learn Chinese is not liable for any accidents or injuries that may occur during in-person classes. Students attend at their own risk, and we recommend personal insurance where necessary.
8.1 Your personal information is kept secure and will only be used to provide the services you have requested, in line with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required by law.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, the Commonwealth of Australia, and any other applicable Australian laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
